James Jacobson, MD, MBA (Adult Psychiatrist)
Dr. Jacobson has been practicing psychiatry in Brevard County for 20 years. He started his journey in Iowa but moved east first to Key West and then to Connecticut were he his formative years. He went to Bates College for his undergraduate degree where he majored in chemistry. From there he went to medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Following medical school, he went west to Denver Colorado where he did his training. He has worked at the Colorado State Hospital in Pueblo Colorado. He was then the Medical Director at Adams Community Mental Health Center in Commerce City, CO. His career made a significant detour at that point. He traveled to New Mexico and Minnesota where he helped to develop Medicaid managed care programs. After a short but important time in managed behavioral healthcare, he returned to private practice. He enjoys all aspects of psychiatry. He enjoys psychotherapy, medication management, inpatient care, consultation liaisons, and difficult to treat psychiatric illness. More recently he has discovered the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for depression that is difficult to treat. He loves to sail and cook and often he does both.

Br. Brown is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who joined Atlantic Psychiatric Centers in 2015 after completing his residency in psychiatry at University of Florida.

Ethel Andrews, MD (Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist)
Dr. Andrews received her BS from Howard University, her MD from University of Florida Medical School. She finished her general psychiatry residency and child adolescent fellowship at the the University of Southern California. She has spent many years in administration. She is on the Military Affairs and Political Action Committees of the American Academy of Child Adolescent Psychiatry as well as other local groups involved in equity in health care.

Jenifer Raymond APRN, PMHNP-BC, MSN
Jenifer is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay and her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. She has a nursing background in forensic and child/ adolescent psych, as well as nursing experience in oncology and maternity. She is passionate about providing patient centered psychiatric care throughout the lifespan with a focus on shared decision making.

Robert Cohen, MD (Adult Psychiatrist)
Dr. Cohen treats a broad spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and schizophrenia. He is highly skilled and experienced in treating patients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PSTD) as well as sleep disorder. After earning his Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University, Dr. Cohen received his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident of a General Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry Acute Care Unit. Hen then completed an extra year of training in He Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Florida. Dr. Cohen is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and the Subspecialty of Geriatric Psychiatry.

Robert M. Scholl, D.O
Dr. Robert Scholl is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who joined Atlantic Psychiatric Center in 2022. He completed his psychiatry residency training at the University of Florida, where he also served as the Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. During his training, Dr. Scholl received several awards, including the Ross A. McElroy Psychotherapy Award, recognizing excellence in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Scholl is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and trusting relationship with his patients. His primary goal is to alleviate the suffering that many individuals with mental health challenges face. He tailors his treatment approach to each unique individual's specific needs, incorporating a combination of therapy, medication management, and holistic strategies to promote overall well-being.
With a keen interest in a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions, Dr. Scholl specializes in treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic illnesses, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and personality disorders. He works with patients in inpatient, outpatient, and consultation liaisons settings. Certified in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Dr. Scholl can administer this treatment for patients who suffer from depression and do not find relief from medications and/or other therapies. -

Lisa LeDoux, ARNP
Lisa graduated from Walden University with a Master’s in Nursing and is a board-certified PMHNP. Her background includes working as a psychiatric nurse for 10+ years in addition to working on a progressive care unit for 3 years. Lisa provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management and supportive therapy for patients experiencing (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, bipolar and other mood disorders. She is compassionate about providing quality and comprehensive mental health services to patients.

Armando Gutierrez, ARNP
Armando Gutierrez, JD, MSN, PMHNP-BC, RN, MFA, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner extensively trained and experience practice environments. Armando’s specializations include (but are not limited to) anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, PSTD/trauma, Substance Use, and other psychiatric disorders. Armando received a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Systems Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and a Juris Doctor degree from Glendale University College of Law. Armando began his medical career in the United States Army conducting combat medicine. As a military veteran, Armando is committed to providing holistic, patient-focused care using solution-based therapies and medications management.
